Weight Loss & Weight Control

Would you like to lose weight. How would it feel to never be on a ‘diet’ again.

What my approach can offer you.

  • Deal with the reason why you have a poor relationship with food once and for all
  • Allow your body to lose weight naturally over time to balance itself
  • Techniques to help you deal with any cravings
  • Have control over the food you eat, not have it control you
  • No calorie counting
  • No weighing food
  • No 'weigh-ins' for you
  • No 'banned' foods - you can have anything you want (in moderation, of course!)
  • Learn how to enjoy your food with an indifference that means you can stop eating when you have had enough.

Many people come to see me for help with weight lose or weight control. Many will have been dieting for much of their lives, perhaps tying many of the ‘fad’ diets that claim all sorts of amazing results. Quite often they are able to lose the excess weight that they have been carrying around. They don’t necessarily find it easy, but it is manageable. It's what happens after they have lost the excess weight that's interesting...

Have you ever found yourself in the situation of having spent many weeks or months on a 'diet' trying to lose weight? The whole time you are on the diet you are thinking, maybe even obsessing about the time that you will be able to eat ‘normally’ again. And what happens when you do? You go back to the old eating habits that got you overweight in the first place – quite often putting on more weight than you originally lost.

This is because the reason why you over-eat in the first place has not been addressed. It may be as simple as sorting out bad habits or a little more involved with an issue from your past, which may appear to have nothing whatsoever to do with food. If we ever hope to be truly successful with weight control that isn’t an effort, we need to sort out these issues first. Without that, the chances are that this yo-yo dieting will carry on indefinitely.

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to enjoy the food you eat, with an indifference that lets you walk away when you are full? That way, you have control over the food you eat, instead of it controlling you.

I have successfully used this approach to keep my body mass index (BMI) at a healthy 23 without being on a 'diet' or feeling deprived. And I can help you to achieve similar results. If you are interested in finding out more about my approach to healthy eating, weight loss and maintained weight control, please contact me by telephone or email to discuss your needs further.
