It's always useful to know a list of things that people come to see a Cognitive Hypnotherapist such as myself for, and I could provide a list here, but really, if you've found me, it probably because I can help you. And anyway, you're probably wondering what the benefits to you are, aren't you?
I really want to help you let go of anything that is limiting the quality of your life. Clients come to see me with a wide range of issue or aims, emotional and physical, and that probably includes something similar to your own. It's great to be able to get rid or something that has been holding you back in your life, and our work together will also be about moving you forward to the life you want - your solution state - whatever that may be. So if you are really committed to making changes in your life, I may be able to help you achieve that.
So what do you want? Happiness? Contentment? Inner Peace?
We could wonder if it's possible to have these things, and I would argue that it is, because it's whatever these things means to you that's important. That's why we spend the time really getting to know exactly what it is you want from our work together, so that we will know when we get there.
Because I treat the individual person, not the label that has been given to their problem, the label that your problem has, isn't the most important thing - you are, and how you 'do' your problem. So, by me getting to know the details of your issue, I get the information I need to be able to find a way of working through it together towards your solution state.

We do this in a relaxed and informal way, so that you can be at ease. My therapy room is designed to help you feel at home, with a comfortable leather recliner and footstool for you, and a small sofa for me to sit opposite you. If you're happy and comfortably relaxed about working with me, you're more likely to get the results you want, in the shortest time possible for it to be lasting.
So who seeks help from a Cognitive Hypnotherapist?
It's true to say that there is no 'typical' client. They are students, GPs, housewives, bus drivers, managers, business owners, midwives, hairdressers, tradesmen, retired people, children, even other hypnotherapists - in fact, I see people from all walks of life. The thing they have in common is realising that they need a little help in finding a way forward in their lives, and recognising that Cognitive Hypnotherapy could offer that solution.
This is brief therapy – so how long does it take?
I have a large number of techniques at my disposal, which are regularly being updated, to help guide you to make significant changes to many aspects of your life, be it in a personal or business context. Because of this, you might be surprised at just how quickly changes can occur. Some simple issues may be successfully dealt with in 2 - 3 sessions. For some more deep-rooted problems, a little longer may be required, perhaps 6 – 8 sessions. I don’t advocate booking a fixed number of sessions at the beginning of our work. Together, we will assess at the end of each session whether another is appropriate for you. So you only pay for the sessions you need. Of course, the more committed you are, the quicker you will begin to see changes happening.
